We are happy to be able to participate in the Sparta Toys for Tots Santa Train event, all day Saturday December 13! Bring an unwrapped new toy to donate to Marine Toys for Tots and explore the exhibits, vendors and organizations participating! You can find Sussex County Makerspace’s robotics demo at the far end of the parking lot!

Open Roundtable Meeting

In April we gathered at the Sparta Train Station and talked about getting a Sussex County Makerspace up and running. Join us for our second meeting, at 7pm on June 19, again at the Sparta Station. This time there will be no speeches or surveys — it’s time for your input, whether you are an accomplished maker or hacker, or somebody who wants to learn more or just find out how to develop physical or virtual creations. Folks with any previous makerspace operations or management experience are particularly welcome — reinventing wheels doesn’t make sense…
Sussex County Makerspace is in start-up phase. What subjects should be the initial focus; robotics? woodworking/model building? arduino/raspberry pi? textiles? smart textiles?? electric vehicles? python classes? time machines?? (JK on that one. maybe.) What do you want to talk about as and with makers and hackers?
